Apple now officially supports 'Made for Apple Watch' third party straps

If you were thinking of making a third-party strap for Apple's latest gadget the Apple Watch, then we have a good news for you. Apple just posted details about the 'Made for Apple Watch' program this week on its website.

Apple is also offering lug parts to manufacture, there is also another option to build the components themselves, using very limited specific-use non-transferable licence. It's very clear that the quality of the Apple own straps for Apple Watch is likely to be high when compared to those third-party made ones.

The good news is that this program will allow third-party accessory makers to create different kinds of bands for the Apple Watch, also including those who incorporate the lugs into the strap itself, just like the connector version found in the Apple Watch Sport.

Although it will take a while for the third-party straps hit the market, don't expect anything soon.
