iPad Pro gets 3D touch feature through Apple Pencil pressure, iOS 9 Hack

iPad Pro 3d touch

A well known developer Hamza Sood hacked the iOS 9 to enable 3D Touch feature on iPad Pro with the pressure sensitive sensor of Apple Pencil by combining relevant iOS codes through jailbreak. Hack convert all Apple Pencil pressure data into data for 3D interaction. 3D Touch is exclusive to iPhone 6s and none of the other device support 3D Touch functionality including Apple's latest large Tablet. Apple Pencil's Pressure data is only used for drawing and sketching purpose.

Hamza Sood managed to do it because Apple Pencil sends pressure data back to the system, which helps in increasing width when drawing or sketching. The pressure sensitive sensor is integrated into the Apple Pencil, not in the iPad Pro. The hack converts the Pressure force into the usable numbers and the numbers are used for 3D Touch's Peak and Pop feature.

The Video below shows the Peak and Pop feature in action posted by Hamza Sood.

It seems that Apple doesn't want iPad Pro users to use Apple Pencil just for drawing or sketching not as a stylus. They don't want users to use 3D through Apple Pencil even if it is possible, Apple is not bringing this feature because of marketing reasons.

You can bring this functionality to you iPad Pro through Hamza Sood's guide available in GitHub.

Developer hacked tvOS to run web browser

A developer from Netherlands jvnakker hacked the all new fourth generation Apple TV to run Native tvOS web browser using private API based on Apple UIWebView class, he shared the code on GitHub as a fork of developer Steven Troughton-Smith's tvOSBrowser project. He also shared a demo video of the fourth generation Apple TV running Apple's website.

You can scroll the web browser with the touch surface of the new Siri remote and just by pressing the center button of the remote you can convert you The scrolling remote to a trackpad and a cursor will start showing up on the screen for clicking. Pressing the Menu button will take you back to the previous page and Play/Pause button will let you enter URLs.

Apple has restricted the UIWebViews on Apple TV. So don't hope to see this browser on tvOS App Store soon, but the browser will take Apple TV experience to a whole new level with such a smooth interface.

Users who are interested in running a browser on their Apple TV they can head to the iDownloadblog's guide to run the browser on your Apple TV using Xcode.

Now Hackers can get in iOS 9.1 by Remote browser-based Jailbreaking

In late September, Zerodium a exploit acquisition platform announced an iOS 9 bug bounty that would pay out up to three million dollars to hacker who will manage to develop a browser-based untethered jailbreaking of Apple's most advanced mobile operating system iOS 9. So then they could sell the exploit to clients who will be interest in getting Ghost access to iOS devices.

At the end of October contest expired,  Zerodium today announced one hacking team had successfully managed to develop a browser-based untethered remote jailbreak for Latest iOS 9 version iOS 9.1 and iOS 9.2 which is still in Beta version and the hacking team won the $1 Million Prize bounty.

Zerodium told Wired that the exploit developed by the hackers will be given to their customers including major technology, finance and defence corporations and the exploit will also be sold to government. Hacking team have to remotely jailbreak iOS 9 without having User's attraction or interaction but reading a text message or visiting a website through any browser.

Zerodium wants to earn more money by selling the exploit to the other corporation, but they have no plans to inform Apple about the vulnerabilities of their latest OS, but they said they will share details later. Zerodium says we will not public the jailbreak, but iOS security is hard but not unbreakable.

Apple Watch hacked again to run 1996's Mac OS 7.5.5

A video today is shared by developer Nich Lee, In which he run Macintosh OS 7.5.5 on an Apple Watch, The Mac version was released in1996 and Apple Watch released in 2015 and this what is very impressing done the developer Nich Lee.

The hack is reportedly done on a watchOS 2 by a developer Nich Lee with the help of mini vMac Macintosh emulator. Mini vMac Macintosh emulator is a software that let a user run older softwares made for Macintosh to run on new hardware devices. At the time of release the Mac version 7.5.5 was designed to run on PowerPC.

The video of running Mac OS 7.5.5 on Apple Watch is shown below:

Many developer are trying to hack Apple Watch to do interesting things with it and to take more advantages of the wearable on the wrist, As few weeks ago Developers with Saurik hacked Apple Watch to run native apps on it, A developer Hamza Sood hacked Apple watch to run Flappy Bird clone on it and we also seen developers running a desktop version browser on Apple Watch. These hacks are evidence that one Apple Watch will be able to jailbreak and we think day is not so far.

Are you impressed ?

Apple hacked to run Flappy bird's clone native app

Flappy was the most addictive game but its creator pull it from appstore but there was millions of clone of Flappy Bird due to its popularity.

The game is created by a developer from United Kingdom Hamza Sood following the release of watchOS 2 at WWDC, giving the opportunity for developers to create native apps for Apple’s wearable device as opposed to the iPhone extensions that are currently doing the rounds.

Video shows the app running:

Last year a developer Dagon brock  created a version which could run at 60 FPS on his vintage 1MHz Apple IIe without flicker, So its not the first time.

You might be thinking it's not very exciting to play game on a tiny screen of Apple Watch As when you will click you can't see whats next, So the developer brilliantly added the support for Digital crown in The game so when your the crown up the bird goes up and when you move it downward the bird goes down, but it's still a little weird but thats not the point.

Are happy with this ?

Developers and Saurik together Cracked watch OS 2 to run Native apps

Saurik (Jay freeman) and developer Adam Bell and Steve Troughton-Smith have hacked watch OS 2 to run Native apps on it. 9to5Mac told the web as Troughton-Smith posted a video last night showing the proof. Apple told in WWDC that Native Apple support is coming to Watch OS, But that native will not be what developers are looking for. The logic code now runs on the watch, but raw access to the user interface is still not allowed on watchOS 2.

This means frameworks like UIKit cannot be used to draw truly custom UI. Instead developers must rely on the same techniques employed with current WatchKit apps that revolve around image sequences to create more interesting effects.

The hack is very a hope for Jailbreak of Apple Watch, its not obvious that its not the jailbreak. The team didn't reveal how they made it or any further detail.

Comex Hackers let Apple Watch run a browser

A well known Hackers community Comex had recently hacked in to Apple Watch's Watch OS  and run a browser on it.

The is showing a person's hand managing Google search engine home page on a small display of Apple Watch. Apple Watch does not come with a Safari browser and you cannot install Safari by any ordinary mean. The video shows a fully working Web Browser on it.

More important thing is that the Watch could run arbitrary codes on it. It seems like the first step forward to " jailbreak" of the Apple's Apple Watch But yet Comex has not shown any hint/trail to come out with a jailbreak soon and also did not reveal the details of this hack.

As we have seen they are not revealing it:

The videos shows the iOS like User Interface, Copy/define contextual menu, they seem like the power of the Software behind the Watch OS. As we have already told you Apple Watch's Watch OS 1.0 is actually the version of iOS 8.2 that runs a custom front-end layer to display the device-specific UI, called Carousel (Springboard is the iPad/iPhone equivalent).

To make more prove Comex has shown then iOS dictionary view on that Apple Watch's small screen. Apple has Launched a SDK just for Apple Watch to let developers widely make that Apps for Apple Watch not just a extensioned iPhone App.

Apple said native third-party Watch apps are coming “later this year”. Many have took this to mean an announcement at WWDC, which runs from June 8th to June 12th.

What you expect ?
