At the moment, we are not sure that what's causing the device to power down itself. Meanwhile, some users have also reported that their home button also feels a little bit hot when they are trying to recover their iPhone.

While the users of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are mostly experiencing the issue but small number of users of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have also been seen to be reporting about the issue, suggesting that there's probably some kinda glitch in the iOS 9. In addition to that according to recent reports, it looks like that the users of the iOS 9.0.1 are mostly affected by the glitch.

After the phone power downs itself the only possible way to recover the phone is by forcing the phone to restart itself by holding both the power button and the home button for 10 seconds.
