Apple is going to launch its next generation of Apple TV in June with a redesigned remote. According to our source, the redesigned remote will have a touchpad which will be used for scrolling purposes,it will also include two physical buttons and it will be slightly thicker than the current Apple TV remote.

According to multiple reports Apple is also planning to release something related to TV this summer. The refreshed Apple TV is expected to be announced at WWDC  (World Wide Developers Conference) with a faster A8 processor, better design and some storage expansion.

Apple allegedly suggested that there is a new model in works in March by dropping the price of the current Apple TV from $99 to $69 for the base model. There has been also some fluctuation seen in the stock of the Apple TV which is quite common when there is a new model in works.

In addition to the remote, according to some reports our source says that Apple is talking with some leading Television groups to release an Internet based TV service sometime this year.
“The service will offer a bundle of channels that is smaller and cheaper than the broad catalog of offerings in a typical cable subscription.”

WWDC  (World Wide Developers Conference) is scheduled for June 8 - June 12.
