On Friday British Vougue online posted a video of a British Vogue editor Suzy Menkes interviewing Apple designers Jony Ives and Marc Newson and talking about Apple Watch and it's place in luxury market.
Jony Ive said that he thinks that Apple Watch will keep the looks it has over time. He says that software updates will be send to the Apple Watch to make the user experience better than ever. Apple's design chief Jony Ive also repeated something which he had said in the past. When designing the Apple iPhone, Jony Ive and the rest of the team were motivated by the fact that they couldn't bear to use the smartphones that were available at the time. With the Apple Watch, the motivation was different since the design team loved the watches that they owned. According to Jony Ive, the design team saw the wrist as being "a fabulous place for technology" and was inspired to create the time piece.
Apple has released it's own first time piece the Apple Watch yesterday in 9 countries and 5 stores across the planet. You can go and purchase the watch right now in those 5 stores but if want to order it online then you may have to wait as long as July (depending on the model) due limited stock.
Check out the video interview posted below of Jony Ive and Marc Newson.
