Developer hacked tvOS to run web browser

A developer from Netherlands jvnakker hacked the all new fourth generation Apple TV to run Native tvOS web browser using private API based on Apple UIWebView class, he shared the code on GitHub as a fork of developer Steven Troughton-Smith's tvOSBrowser project. He also shared a demo video of the fourth generation Apple TV running Apple's website.

You can scroll the web browser with the touch surface of the new Siri remote and just by pressing the center button of the remote you can convert you The scrolling remote to a trackpad and a cursor will start showing up on the screen for clicking. Pressing the Menu button will take you back to the previous page and Play/Pause button will let you enter URLs.

Apple has restricted the UIWebViews on Apple TV. So don't hope to see this browser on tvOS App Store soon, but the browser will take Apple TV experience to a whole new level with such a smooth interface.

Users who are interested in running a browser on their Apple TV they can head to the iDownloadblog's guide to run the browser on your Apple TV using Xcode.
